Food waste as a raw material of the future: a journey from foodservice to automotive

EXPO MILANO 2015, SLOW FOOD THEATRE

Food waste and rejects can be a real source of wealth. If treated and re-used in alternative, innovative and sustainable ways, they continue to generate value. On World Food Day, FCA and Autogrill will be presenting to the public at EXPO a number of projects that recover organic waste and transform it into “alternative” raw materials for a second or even third life.

For the occasion, Autogrill produced a video in collaboration with environmental scientist and eco-sustainable cooking expert Lisa Casali to present the integrated chain project developed with the WWF in Oasi - Bosco di Vanzago and recommend good sustainability practice with a "Km 0 & zero waste" recipe video.
