Autogrill opens the first Acafé on the A35 “BreBeMi”

Situated in the Adda Sud service area near Caravaggio, its aim is to promote the potential of this part of Lombardia.

Work on the interconnection between the A4 and the A35 having been completed, the A35 is now fully open to traffic as a direct motorway link to Milan for travellers transiting the eastern side of the Po valley and the Venice-Verona-Brennero-Genoa-Turin axis.

Autogrill’s new point of sale near Caravaggio - Adda sud service area – is an Acafé, a modern evolution of the motorway snack bar designed to meet the needs of a target of travellers who demand fresh, in-season products and attentive customer service.

With this new opening we intend to put our experience at the service of travellers on a section of motorway - the BreBeMi – of strategic importance to growth and development in this territory in terms of both investments by businesses and traffic flows. This point of sale is designed to meet consumers’ needs also by drawing on local produce, thereby helping to promote this particular territory, and is a good example of Autogrill’s commitment in Italy, also in terms of investments in infrastructure important for the country

Food&Beverage offering

The food&beverage offering centres on Italian espresso coffee and cappuccino guaranteed by the quality of Kimbo blends and accompanied by bakery products suitable for breakfast but not only. Travellers’ needs are catered for throughout the day with a wide range of sandwiches, snacks and fruit salads.

New recipe

The opening of the new point of sale also sees the launch of a new recipe, the ‘Caravaggio’, a sandwich (“ciabattina rustica”) with PDO Gorgonzola, one of the best loved food products in this territory, and grilled courgettes. It’s also a tribute to the township of Caravaggio of course.

From snack bar to info point

The new ACafé has not only a “bar” but also a market with display units featuring typical local products from Lombardia in line with the objective of boosting the area’s appeal to tourists. Examples include confectionary products by Quaranta (Caravaggio), wines and olive oils by Sant’Egidio (Bergamo) and flours and polentas by Gruppo Moretti (Bergamo).
For the same purpose, the point of sale has screens providing information and news promoting various aspects of the territory.
