Over 450 designers (students and professionals, Italian and non-Italian) took part in the 3rd “International Competition of Ideas: “Design and build for everyone” promoted by “lo Spirito di Stella”, a no-profit association, in partnership with Autogrill.
The jury looked at 204 proposals redefining the layout of certain areas in Autogrill locations (counters, check outs and toilets) with a view to improving accessibility.
The award ceremony took place during the “Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2008” (international furniture fair) and was attended by Autogrill CEO Gianmario Tondato Da Ruos, the founder of "lo Spirito di Stella", Andrea Stella, and AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti.
