“Motta Caffé Bar - Milano 1928” is a concept Autogrill developed to complete the Group’s portfolio with an “Italian bar” model that will be strategic for Autogrill’s growth in Europe.

Autogrill has re-interpreted the old Bar Motta (opened in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele by Angelo Motta in 1928) in a modern key and with all its prestige characteristics: appeal as a meeting place, elegant premises, selection of products and attention to detail.

Autogrill brings, until the 28th of December, in 52 points of sale in France, the certificated excellences DOP and IGP of the food-farming production of Lombardia through the initiative "Buona Lombardia", organized in collaboration with Regione Lombardia and the Institute forForeign Trade (ICE).

The protagonists are some of the best lombardian production Dop (Grana Padano, Gorgonzola, Taleggio, Provolone Valpadana e Salame Brianza) and IGP (Bresaola della Valtellina e Mela diValtellina).

A taste of Parma in Switzerland and Austria

A press conference was held at the Gran Cafè Motta in Zurich today to present “Parma: the genuine flavours of a Magnificent city”, an initiative in which Autogrill, in collaboration with Parma’s Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland and the Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano consortia, is organizing a 2-month promotion (from 20th October to 20th December) of Parma specialities in 150 points of sale in Switzerland and Austria.

A press conference was held at the Royal Embassy of Thailand in Rome today to present " Taste the flavour of Thailand", the first Autogrill event entirely dedicated to ethnic cuisine and promoted in collaborationwith the Thai Commercial Affairs Office, the Royal Thai Embassy, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thai AirwaysInternational Airline.

Till 11 December, 600 Autogrill points of sale in six European countries - France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Austria – are offering various menus featuring recipes based on quality products typical of the three Italian regions (Campania, Emilia Romagna and Piemonte) chosen as Italian food ambassadors.

This “Grand Tour” will be travelling to over 600 Autogrill points of sale across more than 180 locations, including 130 on motorways, six in airports, 19 in railway stations and 16 in high street and shopping centres.

"Racconti in Autogrill 2014" contest

Autogrill, in collaboration with ADNKronos agency launches "Racconti in Autogrill", the first multimedia contest dedicated to the places of the trip.

To participate the contest is requested the creation of a news report, a tale or stories in the form of text, photos or videos set in travel channels such as motorways, railway stations or airports and which have as object the theme of food in all its aspects: aesthetic, cultural, etc..
