The Group is partner of 2014 edition of the most innovative magazine in italian editorial panorama, and will be a protagonis, on friday 16th of may 6:30 P.M., of the workshop"The taste of a new future. Sustainability, tradition and innovation in the future of food& beverage on the move" during which Ezio Balarini, Chief Marketing Officer Autogrill Group and Silvio Barbero, Università di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo and Slow Food Italia Vicepresident, will talk about how to combine sustainability and quality food values.

Flood Veneto 2010

The operation "Buy Veneto" will involve more than 450 points of sale on the highways, the employees and the whole maketing structure and will offer to travellers the opportunity to buy 70 products made in Veneto during these two days, whose revenue will be wholly destined to the rebirth of the territories hit by the flood.

Turin Winter Olympics 2006

Torino 2006In 13 Olympic sites/structures in Turin (including the Athletes Village, Palasport, Palavela, Lingotto, Medal Plaza, Olympic stadium) Autogrill managed around 80 f&b points which provided over 330,000 meals, 500,000 dishes, 400,000 coffees and 150,000 rolls.

International Competition of Ideas: “Design and build for everyone, 2007”

Events and initiatives

Over 450 designers (students and professionals, Italian and non-Italian) took part in the 3rd “International Competition of Ideas: “Design and build for everyone” promoted by “lo Spirito di Stella”, a no-profit association, in partnership with Autogrill.

The jury looked at 204 proposals redefining the layout of certain areas in Autogrill locations (counters, check outs and toilets) with a view to improving accessibility.

Uk-Italy Business Awards - Investor of the year

Events and initiatives

Autogrill won an award in the Investor of the Year category of the UK-Italy Business Awards organized by UK Trade & Investment, a government agency that supports British companies abroad and fosters direct foreign investment in the UK.

The award is reserved for Italian companies that are particularly successful in their internationalization efforts and choose the UK as their ideal base for business development.

The award was collected by Group chairman Gilberto Benetton at a ceremony held at Palazzo Mezzanotte, the headquarters of Borsa Italiana in Milan.

G8 Summit

Events and initiatives

Autogrill provided food&beverage services for the accredited press in the Media Village at the G8 Summit in L’Aquila, which was held in the “Scuola Sottufficiali della Guardia di Finanza (Coppito)” from 8th to 10th July 2009.

The over 3,500 journalists, from 60 countries, had a specially created restaurant (for buffet lunches and dinners) measuring around 1,500 square metres, plus two round-the-clock bars serving coffee, cocktails, soft drinks and sweet and savoury snacks.
