The ACI EUROPE Annual Congress is firmly established as the annual meeting place for air transport Chief Executives and industry leaders.

Addressing the most important issues facing the aviation industry, this event typically attracts over 500 senior executives from airports and airlines as well as national and European-level legislators and regulators, consultants, suppliers and the media.

Promoted by the Union Internationale des Chemins de Fer and the Collegio Ingegneri Ferroviari Italiani in close collaboration with Italian state railways and other major international organizations, the Conference focused on the main processes underway and the most significant tendencies in today’s railway stations in terms of property, technology and business development and interaction with other civic functions.

This Summit is the most important forum of discussion for the f&b industry, a sort of think-tank where the major operators can analyze current changes and look at scenarios for the future. Autogrill was represented by Elie Maalouf, chairman HMSHost.

The best minds in the aviation business will gather once again to discuss the important topics that affect our livelihood, including the technology and financial impacts of security requirements, airport funding, customer service and satisfaction, marketing, environmental impacts, and much more.

Autogrill set up 8 food & beverage points inside pavilions, offering a range of products that bring together the Italian café tradition with fast service and high quality: from espresso coffee and classic filled rolls (Camogli, Bufalino and Icaro), to products baked on site, croissants and a variety of snacks, and the new international roll (Bagel).

More than 35 Autogrill employees and over 100 Meeting volunteers were involved in the operation.

Waste management along motorways is still unexplored territory: from the quantity of waste produced to the types of waste involved and the specific problems with managing it.

Conai has launched a pilot project to implement waste sorting on motorways and make consumers on the move aware of the possibility of transforming waste into new resources.

An initiative to which Autogrill is making a pioneering contribution by redesigning its points of sale on an eco-sustainable model.
