From 9 December 2014 to 6 January 2015, over 400 Acafè and snack bars throughout Italy and Spizzicos in shopping malls will be offering the “Perfect Menu - Christmas Edition” consisting of a baguette, a branded drink (The Coca-Cola Company label) and a dessert or a fruit salad. Part of the proceeds from sales of this menu will go to support Croce Rossa Italiana in their efforts to help the homeless feel a little less alone at Christmas.

HMSHost and the Chicago Department of Aviation open the O’Hare Urban Garden in Terminal 3

HMSHost’s O’Hare restaurants will be able to use the vegetables and herbs harvested from the aeroponic garden in their recipes, including sweet basil, cilantro, Bibb lettuce and habanero peppers. Aeroponics is a method of growing plants in a water and mineral nutrient solution without soil. The garden will be accompanied by an exhibit display that describes the sustainable benefits of the aeroponic system and ticketed airport visitors can view the garden while enjoying a meal at the O’Hare Bar and Grille a meal that may contain some vegetables and herbs grown just a few feet away!
