The 4th European Innovation Festival, which is being promoted by Provincia di Milano and Alintec within the framework of an EU funded project.

The event is an opportunity to find out about, experiment with and discuss recent developments in technology and their applications.

Autogrill will be taking part in a workshop entitled “In praise of diversity. Design for All practice transforms "diversity into a resource” organized by Design for All-Italia and the Italian Institute for Design and Disability, on 9 October (10.30 am).

Food & Beverage 2010  7th October - 8th September 2010

Autogrill is on the promoters committee of the 2010 Catering Expo-Convention organized by the magazine Ristorando in collaboration with Fipe and Angem.

The convention will be of interest to all operators in the trade interested in discussing market trends and new scenarios in the modern catering industry.

Autogrill will be represented by Aldo Papa, General Manager Italy, who will speak in a workshop entitled “The travel services system in the 3rd millennium” on Thursday 7 October (4 pm).

FAB - Food & Beverage Conference & Awards 2011

Autogrill Group, through HMSHost, was a premium sponsor and one of the main promoters of the initiative.

The event was attended by over 170 representatives of major airport Food & Beverage operators In a densely packed programme of reports and round tables, the FAB Conference was an effective forum for discussion on themes such as innovation and future challenges for the airport f&b industry.

The most important world conference on airport trade, organized by ACI, the international airports association, and The Moodie Report (the travel retail & duty free business intelligence website), will be held in Bangkok next year.

It’s an international forum to foster dialogue and improve mutual understanding between airports, concession operators and brands for the benefit of all stakeholders.

20th ACI Europe Airport trading Conference and Exhibition 4-6 April 2011 

Autogrill is a premium sponsor of 20th trading conference & exhibition organized by ACI Europe, the european division of the Airport council international.

The ACI Europe Airport Trading Show is Europe’s largest commercial airport exhibition and conference and an excellent showcasing platform for industry suppliers and providers.

Seventh Annual Forum on Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility

Autogrill will also take part at the round table titled CSR and Global Governance with the speech of Silvio De Girolamo, Group Chief Internal Audit & CSR Officer.

The aim of the Forum is to organize a conference in which managers of national and international companies and experts in business ethics and corporate social responsibility from the most prestigious international research centres will have the opportunity to discuss the emerging ethical issues in the global economic system.

Autogrill opens Europe’s biggest food court at the Carrousel du Louvre

The food & beverage facilities on the first floor of the Carrousel du Louvre, with a view of the inverted pyramid, include seven restaurants and three coffee shops (covering 1,800 m2) operated directly by Autogrill France and employing around 200 people. Seating 700, offering 400 exclusive recipes from the world’s culinary heritage.

The Court’s culinary offering caters to the most diverse tastes – French, Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean, Asiatic and American, and not only – meeting the needs of both cosmopolitan tourist and local Parisian clienteles.

The earthquake in Abruzzo

Autogrill provided active support for people stricken by the earthquake in Abruzzo. In collaboration with the Civil Protection service, the Company set up three mobile food & beverage points in reception centres in L’Aquila, open round the clock for drinks and snacks.

Thanks to work by around 40 volunteers from Autogrill points of sale from all over Italy, and from head office as well, over 200,000 croissants and cakes, 170,000 coffees, 70,000 cappuccinos, 25,000 soft drinks and 15,000 savoury snacks were distributed to around 250,000 people from 7th to 27th April.
