The award ceremony will be hosted by Finavia Corporation, operator of Helsinki Vantaa Airport, on 20-21 June and the winners will be revealed at the Gala Dinner on the concluding night.

Autogrill Group takes part in the “Great Fairtrade Challenge”, an event in support of producers in developing nations

Small producers in developing nations can also be supported by the choices people make in day-to- day life. From 11 to 13 May, Fairtrade will be inviting everyone to buy fair trade certified products like coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits, dried fruit, chocolate and jams to support the people who make them. The 3-day initiative coincides with World Fair Trade Day, which will be celebrated all over the world on 12 May.

Airport Restaurant Month springs up this May

This May, more than 80 restaurants across nearly 50 North American airports are participating in this spring’s foodie event by global restaurateur Autogrill Group, through its subsidiary HMSHost. Opened on 31 March 2018 at Number 1 Mall, the People’s Square Bistrot has a menu celebrating the typical qualities and genuineness of Italian cuisine, which is attracting more and more Chinese customers.

The offering of typical Italian recipes is particularly rich, ranging from classic pizzas to pasta dishes, salads and dessert, all of which presented in a modern urban market setting.

Autogrill Group opens its first Pret A Manger shop in Utrecht, The Netherlands

Through its subsidiary HMSHost International, Autogrill Group is bringing the delicious menu of Pret A Manger with freshly prepared food and organic coffees to Utrecht Train Station in The Netherlands: the official opening was last Monday, 19th March. Pret’s classic menu of handmade sandwiches, salads, wraps, baguettes, toasties, hot pots and sweet treats will be available to enjoy alongside organic hot drinks, juices and smoothies.

Autogrill Group with its food & beverage divisions HMSHost and HMSHost International have been named as Platinum Partners of the seventh annual Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference and Awards, which will take place in Helsinki next 20-21 June.

The event is organised by The Moodie Davitt Report and sister title The Foodie Report - the world’s only media focused on airport (and other travel-related) food & beverage - and hosted this year by Finavia.

Autogrill Group Chief Marketing Officer Ezio Balarini will open the proceedings of the Conference’s Innovation Master Class on digital innovation in airport business on 14 March (at 16.15). He will speak on the theme of "Creating the ultimate airport F&B offer: How Autogrill is using digital to offer customers meaningful experiences".
