Fab Awards 2022: Autogrill Group tops the list for number of awards received

For the second year running, a collection of successes, with 9 prestigious accolades.

This year too welcomed the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards, one of the foodservice sector’s most important events, acclaiming airport food & beverage operators of particular excellence and quality. Like last year, the 2022 edition was virtual, taking place on 12 and 13 September, and saw the Group play a leading role in the debates, discussions and seminars that have always characterized the way forward in this industry.

Created and organized by The Moodie Davitt Report, the Airport Food & Beverage Conference & Awards is the only event in the sector dedicated to the airport food & beverage business. Since its launch in 2011, it has enjoyed exponential growth and become the main global convention in a sector in continual evolution and an engine of change for the challenges of the future.

This year’s theme: People, Partnership, Progress, Planet

Last year it was only right to stress not so much foodservice for its own sake but the resilience of the people doing it, as they’d showed admirable spirit of sacrifice and love their work to keep the quality of service high despite the pandemic.

This year, with the worst of the pandemic emergency behind us, it was possible to enjoy a sigh of relief, albeit with a wary eye on the challenges ahead. New challenges demanding progress above all in terms of sustainability, as also reflected in the current international agenda.

So Autogrill was particularly well prepared for this major event, given the Group’s ongoing commitment to a vision of sustainability based on its three strategic pillars of People, Food Experiences and Planet.

And the winner is...

Given our record, it was no surprise that the nine awards garnered were spread across the following two categories: the FAB Superstars Awards, introduced last year to acclaim the thousands of heroes and heroines working every day with passion and reliability both up front and behind the scenes, and the FAB ESG AWARDS, this year featuring for the first time, acclaiming both people and initiatives that have had a positive impact in the environmental and social governance (ESG) area.

Once again, the haul of accolades highlighted the Group’s internationalism, with award-winning teams and projects from a conspicuous variety of countries.

Yet another demonstration of why Autorgill is “recognized as the world’s best provider of foodservice for travellers in terms of reliability and focus on the customer”.
